- Do I need to create an account?
- No. Blippo has no login and no backend server — you can start scanning the moment you open the app.
- What can Blippo scan?
- Barcodes and QR codes. Scanning a barcode looks up product information via Open Food Facts; QR codes are decoded entirely on your device.
- What kinds of QR codes can I create?
- Links, plain text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Zoom, Wi-Fi, contact cards (vCard), and calendar events — the My Codes tab has a dedicated form for each, and keeps them saved on your device.
- What's batch scan?
- A mode that keeps the camera live so you can scan several codes back to back, instead of stopping at a result screen after each one.
- Where is my scan history stored?
- Locally on your device only, capped at your most recent 100 scans. You can search it, filter by type, and organize entries into folders — nothing is uploaded to us.
- Can I lock the app?
- Yes — turn on App Lock in Settings to require Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode before the app opens. This is handled entirely by your device's own operating system.
- Does Blippo show ads?
- Yes, banner and interstitial ads through Google AdMob. Where required by law, you'll see a consent form to control whether ads are personalized.
- Does Blippo collect analytics?
- We use PostHog to see how the app is used in aggregate — things like which settings get changed or how often scans succeed — but never the actual barcode, QR content, or product names. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
- What languages does Blippo support?
- English, Turkish, Polish, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.
- How do I delete my data?
- Since everything lives on your device, clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes all of it — there's no separate account to delete.
